These creations are highlights of Tim's jewelry art. Often combining old and new techniques, they are the result of a restless, eclectic desire to create.

Singular Creations

T.W. McClelland creates one-of-a-kind pieces that draw inspiration from nature, science, and history, among a variety of other sources. The idea of jewelry as wearable art provides a compact format for a detailed visual story. Sometimes it is the beauty of gemstones in juxtaposition. Sometimes there is an opportunity for narrative and satire. But what holds these pieces together is imagination and uncompromised quality.

Diamond Jewelry

The underlying philosophy of TW McClelland is that any piece of jewelry should be much more than a mere rock holder. Geometry, Balance and Gracefulness must combine to bring out the unique beauty of a particular diamond.

Precious Gems

Each gemstone is an individual offering from nature. The most careful planning, creativity and workmanship are required to bring out the inner essence of the gem.

Ear Adornment

“O, she doth teach the torches to burn bright! It seems she hangs upon the cheek of night / As a rich jewel in an Ethiop’s ear –
Beauty too rich for use, for earth to dear!”

— William Shakespeare

Sacred

Using the medium of rare and precious metals and gemstones, humankind has celebrated the divine with the creation of symbolic personal adornment and objects. The tradition continues from the Greek god, Hephaestus, master of the ancient forge of Olympus, to Saint Eligius, the 7th century patron saint of metalsmithing. Each culture has had its own meaning and purpose. It is important to continue this deep human tradition with honor and reverence, in our modern age.
