Celebrating the jeweler's art means appreciating craftsmanship.

Traditionally, the finest jewelry takes a great deal of time, skill and focused attention. Beginning as a teenager, I learned from master jewelers, who trained in Europe, Boston and New York. The great advantage of this style of learning is that one builds a well-rounded understanding of quality.

Over the years I have seen the jeweler’s art lose the emphasis of quality in favor of specialization, technology and hyper efficiency. Nowadays, even the most notable jewelry houses do not employ master jewelers - merely technicians doing repetitive mechanical operations, over and over.

I believe the importance of masterful handmade quality is apparent in many ways- from durability to gesture to lasting value. But mostly what is gained is within soul of the piece.
