Unlike most modern engagement rings which focus mainly on the diamond, here we have an equal emphasis on the mounting as a miniature sculpture. These rings are strong, three-dimensional creations. The metalwork is unmatched; beautifully finished in every detail, from every angle.

The Difference
The Wildflower Collection is the result of more than thirty years of development. Being a lifelong jeweler, Tim McClelland saw room for more craftsmanship and creativity in the world of diamond engagement rings. Most rings are formulaic - the mountings being basic and secondary to selling a diamond. In retail jewelry, so much emphasis has been placed on the sale of the diamond that mounting and metalwork have lost importance, simply mass producing rock holders.
In fairness, it is difficult to create a noticeable difference in such a small space. Developing an interesting, fresh-looking ring that still has the recognizable aesthetic of a modern engagement ring has been an enormous feat. Finding the perfect proportion, finish, and balance has taken decades of refinement. The results speak for themselves as the beauty of Wildflower comes through the way light reflects off the masterfully crafted metal surfaces.
It should be noted that all the Wildflower designs are protected by exclusive design patents and copyrights held by TW McClelland. No other jewelry designer in the world offers these designs.
Creating a Wildflower
Every retailer jeweler selling diamond engagement rings promotes the stone as primary. The Wildflower Collection takes a different approach. We encourage customers to carefully look at the different mounting designs first. Then, we can tailor the perfect diamond for your choice of setting.
Can I order a Wildflower ring from your inventory of finished rings?
Because the Wildflower Collection pieces are so carefully made, there are a very limited number of finished rings at any given time. The available rings are perfected, balanced versions, each set with their ideal diamond. Images of these rings are available by contacting us directly. Sometimes rings will also be available to view and purchase in our Shop. If you see a finished ring that suits you, it is only a matter of measuring the correct finger size, which we will help determine. Once the ring is sized, it can be shipped by insured mail to you.
Wildflower rings made to Order
Most Wildflower rings are made to order, with the mounting and diamond specially selected by the client to suit their style and budget. Decades of experience allow us to help you make the best choice. We are happy to provide all the information you need to create the perfect Wildflower ring. Here is the process:
First Things First
Choose one or two favorite settings.
Please note, the diamond size each setting can accommodate is different. Some settings only accommodate medium to larger diamonds. The minimum diamond size, shown in millimeter and carat weight, represents the smallest round diamond that will be successful in that setting. Diamond size can always increase depending on your aesthetic preference.
Second and third…
Once a setting is chosen, other factors of your lifestyle can be considered. You can tailor the ring to your budget, metal preference, and finger size. Aside from the unique beauty of these designs, one of the biggest advantages of the Wildflower Collection is that it does not need an extravagantly expensive diamond to look stunning. Many customers wish to be deeply involved in understanding diamond quality and we are happy to share our deep expertise, even if you choose to purchase the diamond elsewhere.
Then,
Once the Wildflower mounting, the diamond, the metal choice, and the finger size are determined, we take a deposit and begin making the ring.
Usually, these rings take 6-10 weeks to complete. We will always work to accommodate specific timeframes, but the creation process and unique details of the ring are most important and cannot be sacrificed.
Once the ring is finished, we will bill you the balance and ship it directly to you. Any first adjustment of finger size will be done at no charge.
